We offer deliveries by mini tankers, four and six wheel tankers, we can deliver a large range of fuel products and quantities
to any location. Please let us know in the 'delivery instructions' section of your order if you require a small tanker.
Providing we can gain access to the tank you don't need to be at home when we deliver. All our deliveries are metered and
you will receive a printed delivery docket, so you know exactly how much home heating oil was delivered. These meters
are regularly audited by the National Standards Authority of Ireland.
Our driver will leave you a printed delivery docket from the tanks meter which will show exactly how much oil was delivered.
Most of our trucks have a 120ft (40m) hose. This is ample for most delivery situations.
If you think you may run out of oil before we deliver to you, please contact us on 044 93 406 93 and we will do our best to ensure your oil is delivered before you run out.
If you've paid for an order of a higher value than the amount of fuel that we delivered, we will credit your account with the difference between the price that you paid, and the corrected price on the new invoice total for your fuel, on the day of delivery. If you have a query with your order, please do not hesitate to contact us.
If your order has not been delivered, the first step is to check the delivery date you have requested. While we always endeavour to deliver within the timescale you requested there are occasions where this may not be possible. We will always endeavour to notify you in advance if such a situation occurs. If you still think your order has not been delivered, please do not hesitate to contact us to check.

All of our meters are tested, calibrated, verified and sealed by the NSAI Legal Metrology Service.
The NSAI fit a tamper proof seal and official sticker on our meters as proof testing which ensures with Whelan Oil you get full volume and full money’s worth.

Yes, you can cancel your order, provided you notify us at least two working days before the final scheduled delivery date, we will cancel your order and refund your payment minus a cancelation fee of €12 which is applied to any order which is cancelled, this is to cover banking and administration costs. So please inform us as soon as possible. If you need to change your order, please contact us as soon as possible and we will make every effort to accommodate your request.
If you order and pay for a delivery and wish that it be split between your address and with another delivery address it is now two different deliveries. Therefore a Charge of €30 applies to any order which is placed and is then required to be split between two different addresses, this is to cover the extra vehicle running costs, administration costs and time incurred by the driver.
When you order at Whelanoil.ie and cheaperoil.ie, you can select the payment method with your order in which you would like to pay by clicking on debit card, credit card. When you choose your payment type you will be then transferred to a Banking Realex 3Dsecure payment encrypted page.
The details we store are the minimum required to complete orders as safely and efficiently as possible. All optional personal information is used to provide you with an enhanced service that will make the oil buying process easier and more cost-effective. Your details are secure and we’ll never pass on your details to any third parties – you are much too valuable to us.

Kerosene, also known as 28 second oil, is produced after the distillation process of crude oil. Most domestic systems run on Kerosene because it provides a cleaner and more efficient burn for your home. Gas Oil (green diesel), also known as 35 second oil, is more commonly used in agriculture and industry. Gas Oil is less combustible than Kerosene and has more carbon atoms.
